With the DSS 300 cc, MAFELL offers a unique wire saw system for processing pressure-resistant and flexible wood fibre insulation materials. The precise and accurately fitting work results improve the insulation effect, reduce thermal bridges and thus structural damage. The DSS 300 cc therefore makes a significant contribution to the economic realisation of highly efficient insulation work.
Precise: Up to 300 mm cutting depth: Thanks to the perfect interaction of all system components and the innovative detailed solutions such as the saw wire, carbon fibre guide wedge and chip clearer, a highly precise cutting quality is achieved.
The DSS 300 cc can also be used to process flexible insulation materials quickly and precisely, for example for insulation in the cavity.

2-dimensional swivelling: The DSS 300 cc allows tilting angles of up to 60°. The saw wire and riving knife can also be swivelled backwards by up to 45°.
Carbon fibre guide wedge: Pure high-tech - the carbon fibre guide wedge of the DSS 300 cc. Only the extreme bending stiffness achieved by carbon fibres using the embroidery process makes the required precision possible. And all this with reduced weight for optimised handling.
Cable holder: The connecting cable can be fixed to the housing. For convenient and safe working with free-form cuts and inclined saw unit.
Cable tensioning: The automatic cable tensioning system ensures continuous tensioning and perfect cutting quality - without the need for tedious re-tensioning.
Removable additional support / glider: Three functions in one: 1. as an additional support for enlarging the base area 2. guide for rail use on the right-hand cutting side 3. height levelling (glider) for rail use The additional support is equipped with a crack pointer for the respective cutting situation.
Cable deflection pulley: The cable deflection pulley has a two-part holder for the saw and drive links. In addition, the clearers at the top and bottom of the wheel prevent chip deposits and ensure precise wire guidance.
Saw wire: The unique cutting links of the saw wire have been specially designed so that they can cut in all directions. The special tool is equipped with 23 saw and drive links each.
Double-tooth belt: The scraper belt removes chips and dust from the sawing gap, thus improving the degree of capture by the suction system and the cutting precision.
Economic efficiency:
The guidelines of the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) mean that ever greater material thicknesses are being used. The processing of ecological wood fibre insulation materials in particular is complicated and time-consuming using conventional tools.
A lack of dimensional accuracy can easily lead to thermal bridges, poor insulation results and quality defects, which in turn can lead to warranty claims by the building owner. The time-consuming processing, e.g. through double-layer installation of thinner material thicknesses, also only allows economic realisation to a limited extent. The DSS 300 cc creates completely new conditions with innovative solutions for precise, clean, versatile and economical work.
